Received an email from Paypal or eBay? I hate to think how many people have fallen for this one. My Mum certainly would. eBay and Paypal shall almost never send you an email requesting you to provide financial details of your account. Why would they? If there was a problem with your account you shall see a message when you log in. If you receive an email of this nature, please forward it straight to spoof@ebay.co.uk or if it is PayPal, please send it to spoof@paypal.com Do not enter any information, once you have forwarded it, please delete it. There is at least one scam circulating targeting PayPal users Below is an old PayPal 'Phishing' Scam.
Things to note here are that if Paypal were to send you an email they should at least know your name. Notice that the address on the "click here" is not connected to Paypal whatsoever. If you receive this kind of mail the best thing to do is just delete it. You could forward it to spoof@paypal.com if you like and perhaps if Paypal receive enough of them they shall investigate the matter further. Remember, NEVER EVER send your financial details or login details if requested via email. If you do have a problem with either your Paypal or eBay account then you shall receive a message from them when you have logged into your account.
