Latest eBay Scam

Again, I hate to think how many people have fallen for this one.

This one is a very good and it is not obvious, until you see the web address it sends you to, that it is a scam. If you receive an email of this nature, please forward it straight to spoof@ebay.co.uk or if it is PayPal, please send it to spoof@paypal.com Do not enter any information, once you have forwarded it, please delete it.

RECEIVED THIS EMAIL TODAY, 25 APRIL 2006.

Notice that the address on the "click here" is not connected to eBay whatsoever (you can do this by moving the cursor over the link and looking at the address on the bottom left of your screen).

Things to note here are that if eBay were to send you an email they would at least know your username.

If you receive this kind of mail the best thing to do is just delete it. You could forward it to spoof@ebay.com if you like and perhaps if eBay receive enough of them they shall investigate the matter further.

Remember, NEVER EVER send your financial details or login details if requested via email. If you do have a problem with either your Paypal or eBay account then you shall receive a message from them when you have logged into your account.
